Back to Workshops THE MANY FACES OF BULLYING : We can often feel so powerless in the face of much of the news of world events. Can we do something about this? Yes, and it begins at our dinner table at home, in our hallways and playgrounds at school. When ‘joking around’ crosses the line into put downs and then teasing we are presented with a powerful opportunity to make a difference. The act of de-humanizing another person lies at the heart of this. Genocide is primarily possible because one group de-humanizes another group. We can make a lasting impact on this by helping our children understand and work through their social difficulties.
