The ANGER of the TEMPERAMENTS
Anger as a Signpost to Deeper Needs

In this workshop designed for teachers, therapists and parents, we will carefully examine the very different ways in which each of the four temperaments experiences fear, threat and expresses anger.

The study of the temperaments has been with us since the Ancient Greek times and still underpins much of modern thinking. It encompasses four roots or elements that exist in us all playing a part in out thinking, feelings and actions.

These temperaments are the Melancholic with a relationship to the Earth, the Sanguine with Air, the Choleric with Fire, and the Phlegmatic with Water. All of us have all four elements within us but certain temperaments dominant. Each one of these temperaments has a differing way of experiencing the events that surround them, the situations that cause them to feel threatened, and a very different way of expressing anger. If we can become conscious of this we can help the child channel this anger so that it becomes a positive force, for healing and change.

In this workshop designed for teachers, therapists and parents, we will carefully examine the very different ways in which each temperament experiences fear, threat and expresses anger. We will use case study, play and game situations, to explore....
